ANSI 55-4 Porcelain Pin Type Insulator

ANSI 55-4 pin porcelain insulators are mainly used for medium voltage distribution lines.Ceramic pin insulators are installed on the needle sockets on the cross arms of electric poles. The upper end of the insulator is equipped with a groove, through which the wire passes and is tied to the insulator with a wire of the same material as the wire.Needle insulators are suitable for transmission and distribution lines with voltages up to 33 kV. When the working voltage exceeds 33 kV, the pin type insulators become too bulky and hence uneconomical.Capable of withstanding physical stress and environmental factors, prolonging service life.Designed to perform under varities of weather conditions.Ideal for both urban and rural power distribution networks.
