CTV 254 isolateur en verre is used in high-voltage power transmission systems ranging from 10 kV to 330 kV. It has a diameter of 254 mm, a creepage distance of 320 mm, and can withstand a minimum mechanical failing load of 70 kN.Highly popular in the Algerian market, the CTV 254 glass insulator offers long-term reliability. Glass umbrella tray
• High strength tempered glass is adopted, and the mechanical properties and cold and heat shock resistance are enhanced by heat treatment process.• It has smooth surface, strong hydrophobicity, dirt is not easy to adhere, and excellent anti pollution performance.• Zero value self explosion characteristic: if the glass insulator loses its insulation performance due to fault, the umbrella disc will burst automatically, so that the operation and maintenance personnel can quickly identify the fault point. -
Metal accessories
• Cap&foot: made of hot-dip galvanized steel or aluminum, corrosion-resistant, and closely connected with the glass umbrella tray through cement adhesive.•Locking pin: standardized design to ensure reliable connection of insulator string. -
Umbrella skirt design
•The umbrella skirt has an umbrella shaped inclined design, which facilitates rainwater to slide down and helps dust and dirt to be washed away by rainwater, reducing the accumulation of dirt. Umbrella skirt room to prevent rainwater bridging and ensure insulation performance.•There is an appropriate distance between the multi-layer umbrella skirts to increase the creepage distance and prevent flashover.
